The 80th running of the Irish Oaks was held on Saturday 20th July 1974 over 1 1/2 miles of The Curragh, starting at the Howth Post. The value of the winner was £24,032. The winner was owned by Mr Nick Robinson, trained by Barry Hills and ridden by Willie Carson. The winner won by 5 lengths in 2 minutes 36.2 seconds, with 1 1/2 lengths between second and third. |
